Auckland train services will be disrupted for the next three weeks due to industrial action from drivers.

Unions say extra duties are being piled onto transport staff.

Rush-hour trains will be affected from Monday, with services running less frequently but carrying more carriages.

Auckland Transport has developed a temporary timetable for train services.

Buses and ferries will not be involved in the action.
