An Invercargill man has died, following an alleged assault overnight.
Police were called to an incident at Marist Old Boys Rugby Football Club just before midnight.
Officers found the 27-year-old unresponsive and attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
A police spokesperson says they are speaking to a person in relation to the alleged attack.
