While the #BanTheBagNZ campaign dominates social media it seems Jamie Whyte hasn't quite jumped on the bandwagon.
In fact, he wants you not to ruin his plastic straw use.
In a controversial article written in the UK's Telegraph, Whyte's straw man argument asks the question: 'Why does your desire for a cleaner ocean trump the pleasure I get from drinking through a plastic straw?'
