'Strong' earthquake rattles central North Island

Did you feel it?

A 5.2-magnitude earthquake rattled the central North Island on Sunday night.

It struck at a depth of 22km, and caused "strong" shaking southwest of Hastings just before 9pm, according to GeoNet.

Two smaller quakes followed it.
