A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman at a Tauranga marae.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 11:50pm on Thursday, to find a 37-year-old with neck injuries, police say.
The woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition but died a short time later.
The man will appear in Tauranga District Court this morning, charged with murder.
