Auckland alpaca stolen, leaving its blind brother all alone

An alpaca has been stolen from a paddock in north Auckland, leaving his blind brother to fend for himself.

Charisma the alpaca was stolen from a Dairy Flat property on March 12 - and the loss will be keenly felt by his blind brother Bambi, who relied on him for support.

Bambi has been left "unable to move around with his paddock-mate missing", according to police.

Police say it's a "particularly sad" case.

Police want anyone with information about the theft to contact Orewa Police on (09) 426 4555, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
