Christchurch ATM scam trial begins

Two Canadians will appear in court today over the alleged skimming of ATM machines.

The 28- and 39-year-old men allegedly used devices capable of recording card details in Christchurch and used the information fraudulently.

The duo have been charged with accessing a computer for a dishonest purpose.

Police are asking people if they notice anything unusual when using ATMs to urgently contact their bank.
