Eastern Bay of Plenty area commander inspector Kevin Taylor will speak to media shortly about a drug raid operation in Kawerau on Tuesday.
About 50 police cars descended on the small town.
He will be joined by Kawerau Mayor Malcolm Campbell, and CEO of Tuwharetoa Health Education and Social Services Trust Chris Marjoribanks.
