Three people were taken to Auckland Hospital with moderate injuries following a fire and brawl by the waterfront on Thursday night.

A blaze broke out at Shed 10, a building near the Cloud on Quay St.

Police were called to the Queens Wharf area at around 9:30pm, following reports of disorder and fighting.

One boxing Facebook page said a "huge brawl" erupted at the end of the Daniel Tai vs Conrad Lam fight at Shed 10. One witness told NZME hundreds of people fled the building, shouting "run!"

An anonymous witness told Newshub the chaos began immediately following the fight's end.

"Everyone just got up and started flipping tables, there were bottles all over the place.

"I did see a lot of people chucking chairs on this one guy and it looked like he got knocked out.

"There were a lot of people with blood on their faces, the security guards as well. I saw a lot of blood, all over the ground and glass everywhere."

Another witness told Newshub she saw the fight break out.

"When the fight ended someone was getting hit, one guy caused everything, and all of a sudden all these other people started throwing stuff."

The Facebook post said some people had been left in a "bad condition", and hinted at a stabbing. A witness told NZME he might have heard a gunshot, but police said this didn't appear to be the case.

Police later said there were multiple reports of disorder in pockets of downtown Auckland.
