The Project's host Kanoa Lloyd admits her struggles with anxiety

  • 23/03/2018

In a honest and heartwarming moment The Project host Kanoa Lloyd shared her struggles with anxiety, encouraging others to share their stories.

On Friday's show Ms Lloyd said "I didn't even know I had anxiety. I believed it was sweet-as for my hands and feet to go numb when I was worrying about something that was happening at work."

"Out of the four of us sitting here on this desk, I'm the one, I have got anxiety, and two years ago I would never had said that on TV."

Ms Lloyd said she blamed her "quirky personality" for not wanting to go to parties or even to the mall, but now realises it was all a part of her anxiety.

She said she was okay now but wanted viewers to know they were not alone.

She also encouraged them to share their stories in a series about anxiety, which affects one in eight Kiwi's. #MyAnxiety will launch on the show next week.
