4.6 magnitude earthquake shakes Golden Bay

A shallow 4.6 magnitude quake has struck near Collingwood, in Golden Bay.

GeoNet says around 250 people felt the quake that struck 2km deep at 3.39pm on Thursday afternoon, 50 km west of Collingwood.

On Tuesday a series of quakes rocked the South Island, two near Hokitika and one near Methven.
