The offender entered the dairy on Alford Forest Road at around 8.20pm armed with a long barrelled firearm.

After threatening a staff member and stealing cash, the offender fled on foot along Clark Street.

Senior Sergeant Philip Dean, Sub-Area Commander Ashburton says the offender is a male with silver tape or a mask over his face, and was wearing an orange hi-vis top over blue clothing.

He says they would like to hear from anyone who recognises the man pictured below, or anyone who was in the area of the dairy around the time of the robbery who may have noticed anything suspicious.
