Dashcam footage shows a terrifying near miss over Easter weekend, as a car failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled out in front of another vehicle.
The video shows that instead of coming to a stop for the legally required three seconds, the white car ignores the stop sign and pulls out in front of the red car.
The incident happened in a 100km/h area, at the intersection of State Highway 53 and Kahutara road near Featherston in the Wellington region.
It could have been a nasty accident, but the red car managed to swerve into the opposite lane out of the way - and luckily, there was no oncoming traffic.
The video has been posted to YouTube by the group Dash Cam Owners New Zealand. A spokesperson for the group told Newshub they will be filing a report with police about the incident.
