Johnny Danger's family take his ashes to Thailand

Johnny "Danger" Bennett's family have taken his ashes to Thailand ahead of his public send-off.

The social media star died in a motorcycle accident on Anzac Day.

The family departed for Thailand for a pre-planned trip for Mr Bennett's sister's 21st birthday.

Mr Bennett was cremated on April 27 ahead of the trip with a motorbike convoy accompanying the hearse to the crematorium.

His brother, Wayne, took to Facebook to clarify the cremation "wasn't his send-off - this was all so we could take him with us".

He wrote the trip will celebrate Mr Bennett's life "[as] he would want us to".

The family will return from Thailand in a few weeks after which a public memorial service is planned.

A Givealittle page has been set up to raise funds for a memorial service, with $6000 raised so far. All additional funds will go to his parents.

Mr Bennett was 29 at the time of his death.
