Seven people have been injured in a three-car crash near Matamata, east of Hamilton.
Police were called to the scene on State Highway 29 near Hopkins Rd just after 9am.
One person is in a critical condition, two serious and the others minor and moderate.
It's reported some of the injured may be tourists.
The serious crash unit is investigating.
