Police no closer to finding missing Auckland alpaca Charisma

The hunt is still on for an alpaca stolen from a north Auckland paddock last month.

Charisma the alpaca was stolen from a paddock in Dairy Flat on March 12.

A police spokesperson says they received numerous tip-offs about the theft when it was initially reported.

"We followed a number of lines of enquiries as a result of information received from the public, however the missing alpaca unfortunately has yet to be located."

Charisma's blind brother Bambi, who relied on him for support, has been left "unable to move around with his paddock-mate missing", according to police.

Police want anyone with information about the theft to contact Orewa Police on (09) 426 4555, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
