Popular New Zealand Instagram comedian Johnny Danger has reportedly died after a motorcycle crash on Wednesday.
Police were called to the single bike crash near the intersection of Dairy Flat Highway and Hobson Rd about 2:30pm.
A close friend of Danger, Julian Rivers-Smith, confirmed to Newshub that he had been killed in the accident.
The comedian had a large following on social media, with over 287,000 likes on Facebook and 203,000 followers in Instagram.
He has previously starred in small comedy videos on the MTV Australia website.
Motorcycles featured heavily on his social media and video has now appeared on social media of Danger one hour before his death.
Earlier on Wednesday Danger had posted a photo of a motorbike on his Instagram story, with the caption "#rollin".
Police said they were unable to confirm anything other than that a male was killed in the accident.
