Tributes flow for social media comedian Johnny Danger

Tributes are flowing for comedian Johnny Danger after he reportedly died in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday.

The single bike crash occurred near the intersection of Dairy Flat highway and Hobson Rd at around 2:30pm.

A close friend of Mr Danger (real name Johnny Bennett) confirmed to Newshub he had been killed in the accident.

Social media was quick to react to news of Danger's death and tributes have been flowing in from those who knew him.

"Devastated with tragic news coming through about @johnnydanger_nz. #RIP," a representative for music festival Rhythm and Vines wrote on Instagram.

"Fly high brother Johnny Danger Bennett RIP," one person wrote on Facebook.

"Rest In Peace Johnny Danger Bennett. Absolute Legend… Sure as hell knew how to live life mate!" another said.
