A truck has rolled in central Dunedin, causing a mess of mud and debris.
The truck is understood to have collided with two parked vehicles, and the driver was initially trapped but has since emerged from the wreckage with minor injuries.
Authorities say an unknown volume of water burst out of the tanker, and a street light was also taken out.
There are no reports of any oil leakage.
Stuart Street is cordoned off while the scene is cleared.
