Woman, 22, charged in relation to Motueka stabbing

A woman has been charged in relation to the stabbing of a man in Motueka, near Nelson. 

Police arrested and charged a 22-year-old woman with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. 

Police were called to a property on High St, Motueka, where a man in his 40s was found with serious injuries after being stabbed mutiple times. 

He has since had surgery and remains in a serious but stable condition in Nelson Hospital. 

The woman is due to appear in Nelson District Court on Thursday. 

Police are continuing to make enquiries and would like to hear from anyone who may have information that could help with their investigation.
