Invercargill Police have arrested a 26-year-old woman in relation to the death of Jack McAllister in June 2017.

The woman has been charged with murder and appeared in Invercargill District Court on Friday afternoon.

Police inquiries into the death are continuing.

Also known as Jade Fearn, Mr McAllister died after an assault at Stadium Southland.

Seven other people were arrested back then over the 19-year-old's death, which occurred after a sports match at the netball and basketball stadium.
