Police have recovered dozens of iPads stolen from schools in north Auckland.

"As a result of investigations into burglaries at two local Rodney schools, Warkworth police carried out a successful search warrant at a local address and recovered 31 new iPads along with a large quantity of other stolen property," police said on Facebook.

"An offender is now facing multiple charges as a result."

A photo of the recovered loot showed the iPads still in their original packaging, along with protective sleeves in four different colours.

"A pertinent reminder for everyone to install security features on their Android/Apple devices," police said.
