Fog has been causing chaos at Auckland Airport, forcing more than a dozen flights to be delayed.

Restrictions were put in place around 7:30am on Saturday and lifted at 11:20am

In total 35 domestic flights were cancelled and 30 domestic flights were delayed.

No flights to Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown have been affected, nor have any international departures.

The chaos comes just a day after fog caused heavy disruption at the airport and forced the cancellation of 26 flights.

Fog has blanketed other parts of Auckland too, including the central city and North Shore.
