More native species are being added to the threatened list and an environmental group says alarm bells should be ringing.
A new Department of Conservation report shows the number of threatened native plant species has risen by 113 in the last six years.

But Jen Miller from Forest and Bird says not enough is being done to stop it.
"With climate change, we'll see an increased number of viruses and bacteria that will come to New Zealand and impact on our plants, like kauri dieback and myrtle rust," she says.
Ms Miller says humans are putting the greatest strain on our flora and fauna, and we need to ask ourselves the hard questions.
"How much further development can we do on our land?" she asks. "How much more native vegetation can we afford to pollute?"
Ms Miller says pests are a major problem too.
