One person has died after a car drove off the road and into a creek near the Treble Cone ski field.
Two people were in the car when it went off the Wanaka-Mt Aspiring Rd at 11.20am on Thursday, police say.
A second person suffered "scratches and bumps" but was not seriously injured, Stuff reports.
The Serious Crash Unit is at the scene.
