A woman has died after her vehicle was found flipped in Northland.
The crash occurred on Whakapirau Rd, Maungaturoto, near the intersection with State Highway 12.
Police said they were called to the crash scene at 1:25pm after a member of the public noticed skid marks going off the road down a bank.
The car was found upside down and the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle had died at the scene.
The serious crash unit is investigating.
