A pedestrian has been taken to hospital with critical injuries after she was hit by a truck in the Auckland suburb of St Lukes.
Police say the accident took place around 9:20am on Thursday morning.
Diversions are currently in place on St Lukes Rd, near the intersection of New North Rd.
Traffic headed towards St Lukes from New North Rd has been reduced to one lane, while traffic heading away from St Lukes mall is being diverted down Taylors Rd.
Motorists have been asked to avoid the area if possible. The serious crash unit is investigating.
