Police have launched a homicide investigation in Tauranga after a body was found in suspicious circumstances on Friday morning.
The victim, who is yet to be identified, was found in the water underneath McLaren Falls Bridge at around 11:30am on Friday.
A post mortem will be taking place on Saturday.
Police are asking anybody who saw anything suspicious on McLaren Falls Rd yesterday to contact them via 07 577 4300 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
