Ironman champion Terenzo Bozzone has been seriously injured after he was hit by a truck in Auckland. He is in a stable condition in Auckland City Hospital.
The triathlete was cycling on Kumeu's Waitakere Rd on Tuesday afternoon when he was hit just after 2pm.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 2:20pm, and a section of the road between Boord Cres and Hanham was closed until 6:30pm.
The serious crash unit attended the scene.
An eyewitness to the accident told Stuff the driver of the truck pulled over briefly after they hit Bozzone, before driving off at speed.
They said the athlete's bike was "in two pieces" and he was semi-conscious.
