A man is dead and a woman is in a serious condition after the car they were in fell onto train tracks in Pukekohe, Auckland.
The vehicle went off an overbridge and landed on the tracks off of Stadium Dr at about 7pm on Tuesday evening.
It's believed the man, who was driving, may have suffered a medical event. He was unable to be revived by emergency services.
His female passenger was reportedly trapped in the vehicle and suffered injuries. She is currently in a serious condition.
Police told Newshub a train was not involved in the man's death or the woman's injuries.
