A 145-tonne training facility for members of the Navy will open on Thursday morning at Devonport Naval Base in Auckland.
It weighs a whopping 145 tonnes and is 24 metres long. It's been built so sailors can train in a space with the look and feel of a Navy ship.
The space is moored in the water and includes decks, rails, ladders and winches.
Crews can learn the skills for man-overboard situations as the facility is moored in the water.
