Wellington bus drivers are going on strike, but they'll still get behind the wheel.
Industrial action starts on Monday at 5am, and will continue until the drivers' union can get Tranzit to talk about working conditions.
Kevin O'Sullivan from the Wellington Tramways Union says the drivers want legal hours.
"They're essentially just going to start their shift, take breaks and go back to the depot after they've completed eight hours' duty."
That's exactly the working conditions they're asking for - and Mr O'Sullivan from the Wellington Tramways Union says they have waited long enough to have an "adult conversation".
"They signed an agreement about six weeks ago that we would begin negotiations within seven days, and up to this point nothing has happened."

The union says drivers regularly work 14-hour days.
He says the action will continue until they can get the company around the table.
"Our members just want to get a collective agreement in place… and until that happens, the strike will be continuous."
When the Greater Wellington City Council awarded the bus contract to Tranzit, many drivers from previous operators refused to sign up, saying the pay and conditions left them worse off.
Tranzit has been contacted for comment.
