A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in west Auckland.
They suffered critical injuries in the collision on Te Atatu Rd at about 6:40pm on Tuesday. The person later died in hospital.
The road around the crash scene is still closed, with diversions in place.
The deceased has yet to be formally identified and their next-of-kin has not been notified.
The serious crash unit has been advised of the incident.
