A second day of evidence will be presented into the alleged murder of Waikato woman Kim Richmond Wednesday morning.

Cory Jefferies is on trial in the High Court after his partner of 26 years vanished in 2016.

Her body was found in a ute, submerged in Lake Arapuni.

The jury heard Tuesday about an affair between Ms Richmond and her neighbour, Alfons Te Brake.

Other witnesses also testified that Jefferies made threats of killing his partner, prior to her disappearance.

His defence says he admits manslaughter but not murder.

A jury was selected in the Hamilton High Court on Monday, made up of seven women and five men.

The trial is expected to last a week.
