A Newshub reporter has narrowly missed being embarrassed in the middle of a live cross after a bird pooed on her.
Alice Wilkins was about to go live on The AM Show about Thursday's nurses strike early in the morning when suddenly droppings fell from the sky.
The area outside of Auckland City Hospital has a large population of birds and it seems one of them chose to go to the bathroom directly above Wilkins.
She quickly sprang into action, removing her blazer and delivering a chilly morning cross in just her blouse, with little indication that anything had ever gone wrong.
