A toddler has died after she sustained injuries believed to be "non-accidental".
Comfort Joy Witeri-Thompson died in Waikato Hospital late on Tuesday night.
She received medical attention after being injured in an incident at a Tirau address. Police are currently investigating the circumstances of how she acquired the fatal injuries.
A post-mortem is underway.
