An 18-year-old charged with the murder of a Christchurch man has been remanded in custody without plea.
The body of Oliver Johnston, 20, was discovered in Woodend on Saturday after a search was launched on Thursday.
The suspect has been granted name suppression. He will reappear in court later this month.

Police were called to the rural property on Jelfs Rd on Thursday evening and said they'd found a body, launching a homicide investigation. The next day they redacted that statement, saying they'd in fact failed to locate a body and there was evidence of a serious assault.
But his body was found on Saturday at the property, after an extensive search.
