A 20-year-old motorcyclist has died after a collision with a car in Christchurch.
The two vehicles crashed on Aldwins Rd just after 6:15pm on Tuesday evening, before the motorcycle exploded into flames.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the incident and Aldwins Rd remains closed.
Police have thanked members of the public who helped those at the scene immediately after the crash.
