Family of missing Christchurch teen reeling after her disappearance

The family of missing 13-year-old Sophie McKewen-Quinn are beside themselves over her disappearance.

Ms McKewen-Quinn has been missing from the suburb of Richmond in Christchurch since August 20. 

Members of her family commented on the Canterbury Police Facebook page post about her dissappearance. They are seeking information of her whereabouts. 

A family member wrote, "Soph Dad and I and your brother, sisters, Nans, Aunties and Uncles and family are beside ourselves with worry!!! Please PLEASE bubalugs make contact with us we love you to the moon and back and beyond the beyond!!!!"

"Sophie we all love you so much and just want to know your safe. Your not in any trouble. Please make contact with someone. The kids are missing you so much xx," another family member said. 

Ms McKewen-Quinn is described as having a slim build and brown shoulder length hair. 

She was last seen wearing a blue black and white chequered flannelette shirt and is know to go to malls and skate parks throughout Christchurch, police say. 

It is concerning that she has not been contact with her family.
