Police are searching for a man who robbed a Northland petrol station on Saturday evening.
At around 7:25pm, a "heavily disguised" man with a firearm entered the GAS Service Station on State Highway 1, Ruakaka. He demanded cash and cigarettes from staff.
He carried a black backpack and drove off towards Whāngārei.
Police are asking any witnesses, or anyone with information about the identity of this man, to come forward.
