Passengers trapped in south Auckland crash

Passengers are trapped in vehicles after a serious crash in the south Auckland suburb of Kingseat.

Three vehicles are involved and two vehicles have gone down a bank.

One person is in a critical condition, two people have serious injuries, and one person has moderate injuries.

The accident occurred just before 10am this morning.

Police and emergency services are at the Kingseat Rd scene and a Westpac Rescue Helicopter will be transporting patients to hospital.

Diversions are in place at Kingseat and Irwin Roads and Kingseat and Glenbrook Roads.

The serious crash unit is in attendance and police are advising drivers to avoid the area if possible.
