A person died after being hit by a truck on State Highway 29A in Tauranga in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Cordons have been put in place at Maungatapu Bridge and the SH29A/Maungatapu/Welcome Bay roundabout.
Lanes headed south are still open, but motorists have been asked to take careand follow the directions of officers at the scene.
