Powerstation vandalised after cancelling Lauren Southern and Stefan Molyneux event

Auckland music venue the Powerstation has been vandalised after cancelling an event by far-right speakers Lauren Southern and Stefan Molyneux.

"Coward Station Free Speech - Eulogy Tour", the graffiti reads.

Police told Newshub they were not aware of the vandalism.

The venue was due to host Southern and Molyneux after Takapuna's Bruce Mason Centre cancelled the event due to "safety concerns".

In response to this original cancellation, the Free Speech Coalition was formed to raise money for the pair. They also filed legal action against Auckland mayor Phil Goff, who spoke out against racist content of the speaking tour.

Powerstation owner Peter Campbell cancelled the event at his venue shortly after it was revealed on social media they would be speaking there.

Newshub has contacted the Powerstation for comment.
