Armed robbers reportedly shot up a pub on Auckland's North Shore on Saturday night.

Two men - one armed with a  shotgun - walked into The Good Home in Birkenhead "with a swagger", a witness told NZME, just after the All Blacks' match against Australia finished around 9:45pm.

The man with the gun pointed it at the bar staff, and when patrons tried to intervene, he let off two warning shots and hit one of them with the butt of the weapon.

Police said they got away with an unknown amount of cash in a white Subaru Impreza, which was found a short distance away.

The "big guys", as one witness described them, were about 1.9m tall and didn't appear to be under the influence.

"They were just so calm. They looked like they had done this before."

It's reportedly the second time this year The Good Home has been robbed.

"CCTV footage is being examined and police are speaking to witnesses and patrons," said Snr Sgt McIntosh.

Stuff reported the pub was cordoned off on Sunday morning, as police investigate.

Newshub has contacted police for confirmation of the report. Police told NZME anyone with information should call them on (09) 839 0697.
