'Study with me': The latest YouTube craze involves watching people study

  • 31/08/2018

From make-up, dancing, unpacking kit set furniture, there seems to be a YouTube 'how to' out there for everything - but the latest one may surprise you.

It's called 'study with me', where bookworms from across the world share videos of their study time in order to help other peoples study.

Nineteen-year-old Kiwi student Lily is getting behind the trend and has thousands of followers on her YouTube channel, where she simply films herself studying.

Even Lily herself struggled to believe why people were interested in watching her studying.

"It's a really interesting question, personally I don't understand why people want to watch other people study," she told The Project.

But apparently it's very motivating.

"It's about academic achievement, about achieving your goals and wanting to achieve your goals."

And Lily says it's even helped her enhance her study goals.
