A 22-year-old has been charged with murder following the stabbing of a man on Saturday morning at Papamoa.
The accused was known to the 48-year-old man who died, and will appear in Tauranga District Court on Monday.
Witnesses reportedly saw children covered in blood yelling for someone to call the police.
No one else is being sought in relation to the death, but police would still like to hear from anyone walking in the Harding St area between 7:30am and 9:00am on Saturday morning.
