A young boy who went missing on a Westland farm on Saturday afternoon has been found dead.
Reuben Nolan was reported missing from a Harihari farm just before 1:30pm.
Police staff, volunteers, family and neighbours spent the afternoon looking for him, but tragically his body was found in an effluent pond at 4pm.
The death has been referred to the coroner.
"Police extend their condolences to Reuben's family for their tragic loss," police said in a statement.
