New Zealander killed in tourist bus crash in southern Africa

A New Zealander has been killed in a bus crash in the African nation of Lesotho.

While details remain unclear, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has confirmed to Newshub that one Kiwi has died and two others have been injured in a tourist bus crash.

The crash happened at Qacha's Nek in Lesotho, a small country completely surrounded by South Africa, on Friday evening (NZ time).

The New Zealand High Commission, located in South Africa's Pretoria, is currently responding and is providing assistance to the Kiwis involved and their families.

Halo Aviation tweeted on Friday that their helicopters were airlifitng 3 critical patients from the crash.
