A pedestrian is critically injured after being hit by a bus in Christchurch.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Main North Road in Redwood at 8:10am this morning.
St John tweeted one patient in a critical condition has been transported to Christchurch Hospital.
The southbound lanes are closed and traffic is being diverted.
Police say the Serious Crash Unit will investigate the cause of the incident.
