Gisborne police have located a vehicle a man who assaulted a woman on Friday night took from her property.
The attack took place at around 11:30pm on Friday. The man was not known to the woman.
Information provided by the public led the police to the blue Mazda, which they found in Gisborne. They're yet to find him though.
He's described as being in his early 20s and approximately 1.7m.
